Extra skin is only a small part of facial aging. Ligaments hold the face in place, and as we age, skin and soft tissue droop around them, creating jowls, a softer jawline, and deep "smile lines."
The CURRENT Lift tightens and repositions those deeper structures instead of pulling the skin. Dr. Novis developed it to deliver the full results of a deep plane facelift with less bruising and downtime. It usually combines a face lift and neck lift, tailored to each patient.

No general anesthesia
Performed under local anesthesia with oral sedation. No intubation, and most patients choose a narcotic-free pain plan.

Placed in the hairline and natural creases. Hair is never shaved, so you can wear a ponytail once you've healed.

Most patients return to work around two weeks. Results often last well over ten years before any touch-up.

Dr. Novis is double board-certified in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery. She graduated at the top of her class from Northwestern University's medical school, completed her residency at the University of Michigan, and trained in a competitive facial plastic surgery fellowship.
From your first consultation through recovery, you work directly with Dr. Novis. Patients describe her care as attentive and genuinely kind, and her plans as honest and individualized. Outside the operating room, she is a concert harpist.
